There are literally hundreds of different professional and industrial styles of apparel needs in Alaska but very few methods of supplying those needs. Being located in Anchorage we are able to reach any and all communities in Alaska. Anchorage International Airport is only a short distance away and easily accessible for items needed in emergency. Alaska is huge but we have the experience in supplying all communities here.

One of our largest customers is on the North Slope. This would seem to be a logistical nightmare to many companies when dealing with the volume that we do but not to us. Future Expectations:

As of the summer of 2000, Alaska textiles became involved in developing web based ordering, account tracking, and apparel maintenance logging. This service will encompass both the casual shopper as well as a customized application for our most valued customers.

The web has proven to be the next stop in the industrial revolution. We know this as do you. Our intentions are to provide the same type of service as many companies elsewhere do with web based ordering abilities. This will allow those in the field to not only be able to make an order but to have a reliable database of the products and services available. At times this may be the most reliable method of purchasing considering Alaska’s logistical temperament.

Some companies may want the security and convenience of a customized proprietary site. 7x, our sister company, is working on the programming for this capability now. This will be reality in the near future.

To track ordering by having a networked, distributed ordering system allows multiple departments and individuals access to ordering. The 7x program will keep track of these orders and allow administration to know who is ordering what at all times.

Account tracking enables administrators to be synchronized with Alaska Textiles at a glance. Information will be instantaneous and available around the clock.
